Pav bhaji

To make Pav bun


Maida or All purpose flour-2 cups /250 gms

Milk – 3/4 cup

Salt-1 tsp


Milk powder– 1+1/2 tbsps

Sugar-1 tbsp

Maida to dust 


Initially proof the yeast in warm place with sugar and warm milk for  10 minutes

Add the flour and salt in a bowl, add the milk mixture and make a soft semi sticky dough

Knead the dough for 5 to 10 minutes gently and keep it a bowl covered with wet cloth

Once the dough is risen, pouch it back and knead it back into shape.

Allow it to rise again for another 20 minutes

Line the parchment paper in baking pan.

Make the dough into balls leaving some spaces in between them.

Allow it to rise for another 20-30 minutes.

Preheat the oven for 200 C

Once the dough is risen, Brush some milk on top.

and bake them for 15-20 minutes.

Remove the pan from oven, brush some butter/oil on top

To make bhaji masala,


Onion– 3/4 cup.

tomato- 1+1/2 cup

Peas– 1/2 cup

Potato– 2 cup

Carrots– 1/2 cups

Ginger garlic paste-1 tsp

Red chilli powder-2 tsps

Pav bhaji masala-1 tsp

Salt to taste

Butter to Serve


1.Chop onions, tomato, potato, carrots and peas, cook them in a steamer and set aside

2.Heat a pan, add 2 tsps of oil, add onions and tomato, saute them well until its cooked

3.Add the cooked vegetables and a cup of water, cook until all gets mixed. Smash it with smasher until all vegetables disppear completely.

4.Add all the powders and salt and cook in simmer for another 10-12 minutes.

Serve hot with pav, a gallop of butter and lemon!.

Yummy and Delicious Pav bhajji is ready
